Woman suffers catastrophic injuries and dies in motorcycle crash

The roads in Denver and throughout Colorado are dangerous for anyone who is using them in a vehicle or as a pedestrian. For motorcyclists, the risks are magnified. Not only is the weather a concern in the state, but there are constant dangers to navigate with other drivers who might be operating their vehicles recklessly, speeding, driving while distracted or do not follow the law in yielding to motorcyclists. When there is an accident, the rider can suffer catastrophic injuries and death when involved in a wreck with a conventional automobile. In the aftermath, those affected must remember the importance of legal assistance to consider a lawsuit.

A collision between an SUV and a motorcycle led to the death of the passenger on the bike. The accident happened in the mid-morning, shortly after 10 a.m. According to the investigation, a 2013 Ford Escape was heading north and was in the left turn lane. As the driver, a 68-year-old woman, made the left, she went directly into the path of the 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was heading south. The bike crashed into the front of the Ford. The operator of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The female on the back of the motorcycle, 37, was taken to the hospital and died there.

Motorcyclists will swear by their chosen activity. They enjoy the freedom that goes along with cruising down the open road on their bikes. That does not diminish their vulnerability to severe injuries and death when there is a crash. Because they do not have the protection that is afforded to people in a conventional motor vehicle, they are prone to suffering broken bones, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, serious cuts and more. Often, the injuries are so severe that they are fatal. When there is an accident, the injured person can face medical costs, lost wages and a substantially changed life. If there is a fatality, the family left behind will need to pay for a funeral and come to emotional and financial grips with the unexpected loss.

A woman who was riding on the back of a motorcycle died and the man controlling the bike was seriously hurt when a Ford Explorer turned in front of them, apparently sparking an accident. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, but as it moves forward, the injured man and the family of the woman who died must understand what must be done to file a motor vehicle accident lawsuit and call for legal help as soon as possible.
