Serious hit-and-run accident kills one in Denver

Most Denver area drivers understand that safe driving is incredibly important. But, occasionally, a family is rocked by an unexpected accident. In these cases, it is important to determine who is at fault for an accident and make sure that victims receive the help they deserve.

A tragic accident recently occurred in Denver. A man and woman were walking at Broadway and Ellsworth Avenue when they were hit by a vehicle. The woman was killed and the man was seriously injured. The driver left the scene but has since been arrested and is being investigated for a felony hit-and-run resulting in death.

No one expects their loved one will be involved in a fatal accident. Unfortunately, thousands of families face this scenario every year in the United States. Victims of a car accident may face catastrophic injuries that require months or years of rehabilitation or even death. If a family’s loved one is a victim of a serious car accident they may want to speak with a legal professional skilled in personal injury. An attorney can visit the accident scene, interview witnesses, review police reports, and try and determine what happened to cause the accident. If the accident was caused by a negligent driver, compensation for medical expenses, future medical expenses, pain and suffering and other damages may be available. An attorney understands how emotional and traumatic this situation can be for a family and works hard to help the family get back on their feet.

An unexpected motor vehicle accident can change a family forever. A beloved family member may have been the breadwinner, mother, father, or child. These family members are irreplaceable and a negligent driver should be held responsible for their mistakes.
