Drivers escape unharmed from Colorado crash

News of a truck accident is always worrying. These large vehicles can cause extensive damage, particularly when something goes wrong. Their size and weight can easily crush other vehicles, while their loads may be hazardous and insecure. Furthermore, the aftermath of a truck accident can take hours to clean up, obstructing traffic and creating further potential for accidents.

It was particularly fortunate, then, that no injuries were reported following a collision near Bayfield, Colorado. One afternoon, a semi-truck believed to have been transporting wood and bridge materials was traveling east along the highway when a car heading in the opposite direction is reported to have collided with the truck’s front set of dual tires.

The traumatic incident was responded to by officials from the fire service and police. Fortunately, however, the drivers of both vehicles appeared to be unscathed. The truck driver stated that he got out of his vehicle and hugged the driver of the car, apparently relieved that she was alive. The incident is under further investigation by Colorado State Patrol.

This crash could have been far more serious and it is extremely lucky that both drivers survived. Sadly this is not always the case in such accidents, and even when it is, the cost of vehicle repairs can still be high. If you have lost someone in a truck accident, or you have been injured as the result of another driver’s negligence, you might want to claim compensation. An attorney can advise you about your options and may be able to assist you with your claim.
